There was a big nursery there at one time and the shrubbery etc. was so varied and spectacular. Deer traipsed through there all the time. We have lovely memories.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06516529307507668142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7321712048634214539.post-74806832705815344632010-04-04T08:14:57.700-07:002010-04-04T08:14:57.700-07:00I'm a real bore driving through Beaverton. &q...I'm a real bore driving through Beaverton. "This used to be nothing but Horseradish fields. And that shopping mall was an airport! t's like some nasty fungus on the face of God's green earth! There were acres of hazlenuts over there! That apartment complex was a strawberry field. Take the richest farmland in the US and pave it over with urban blight. Saddest of all, housing costs are driven up so far that the average young couple just starting out can't even afford a home now. They move out of state to somewhere more affordable.gaylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09208168224439515489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7321712048634214539.post-26947246002501756872010-04-04T00:44:12.681-07:002010-04-04T00:44:12.681-07:00Yep, it sucks. Over here, it's the Port of Portland we have to worry about with their dreams of turning Hillsboro Airport into a more commercial hub. UGH! I love the small airport, but it's big enough already. Of course, we all live on what was farm land 15 or less years ago, so it's all relative. . . :)Knit for Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02672924180344333589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7321712048634214539.post-24325178461935372682010-04-04T00:11:42.734-07:002010-04-04T00:11:42.734-07:00UGH! And then you know the developers will punch through that one street that is currently the golf course and then my main street will be blocked up and trafficy forever more. I won't be able to make a left turn :( I also saw that they are planning an Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01155671008824760654noreply@blogger.com
