These are the somewhat non-fictional tales of an over-ripe paralegal who lives with her husband (ToolMan) and their dog (Andy Rooney), in which she goes on about her knitting, her work, her knitting, her life, her knitting, her friends, her knitting, her hedgehog collection, her knitting, her spinning, and her knitting. And has an occasional hissy fit.

Some kind of gall
I didn't have surgery today; my blood pressure was too high. So that nasty ole' gall bladder is still giving me grief. The high blood pressure is probably due to the nausea and discomfort of the inflamed gall bladder, so in addition to upping my regular medication they added some for nausea and pain. Of course, a few hours after surgery was supposed to have begun, my blood pressure was lower than it's been in months. Go figure. Surgery is now two weeks away. Again.

ReplyDeleteAw, man, that's no fun at all. I hope the nausea meds work!
ReplyDeleteIt's rotten when the doctors are so busy that they can't fit you in between flare-ups. Bless your dear heart. Practice visualizing your veins as broad silken channels with the blood flowing gently, easily through them. Relax, close your eyes and breathe slowly. Eventually, you can control your blood pressure, and cheat your way in!
ReplyDeleteHang in there!
ReplyDeleteI remember my mom spending most of 1964 on the couch with a bucket close at hand, until someone finally figured out it was her gallbladder. After the surgery, she felt *Wonderful*.
Better times coming!
