Today was Registration Day at Sock Summit 2011, so Tami and I rode MAX to the Convention Center this afternoon. Tami was working the Registration Desk and I was going to register and hang out. We got there in plenty of time, but they were running behind so training was delayed, thereby delaying registration.
Since we had a little time, Tami and I went into OSCON, which was being held in the other side of the Convention Center. We started picking up the little bits of SWAG being handed out: note pads, magnets, key chains, coasters. Then we discovered that if you let the vendor scan your badge, you got the good stuff: t-shirts, wooden puzzles, canvas tote bags. Good thing we scored a couple of tote bags, because we needed them to carry our booty.
Yep, that whole pile is what we each brought home from OSCON. I wish the vendors at Sock Summit gave away this much SWAG!
Tomorrow: Day 1 of the Summit, who I got assigned to, the Marketplace, and Opening Reception.
